Kendall Diane Morris, (born February 21, 1991) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Ennis, Texas who was named Miss Texas 2011.[2][3]
She won the title of Miss Texas on July 1, 2011, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Ashley Melnick. Morris' platform is “Leukemia: Living for a Cure” and she said she hoped to promote funding for research to find a cure for Leukemia during her reign as Miss Texas.[4] Morris is majoring in broadcast journalism at Texas Christian University. Morris' win was the second consecutive time a Texas Christian University student won the Miss Texas title, as Ashley Melnick, Miss Texas 2010, also attended Texas Christian University. Morris is a baton twirler with the TCU Marching Band, and she performed at the 2011 Rose Bowl and the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.[5] At the age of 15, Morris won the title of Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen in 2006, and went on to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in 2007, where she won multiple preliminary awards, but did not place in the top 10.
